A disaster - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park 3 is a totally unneeded sequel to the first, a classic, and in the second case, a solid, film. Though it does feature some impressive CG dinsosaurs that were not included in the first two films, like a Spinosaurus, it falls flat in almost all facets. I was a big fan of dinousaurs as a youngster, so I was excited to see the film, even if the preview made it seem a little different from the first two. For example, all of the action takes place in the daytime. However, that and everything else turned out wrong. What are Tea Leoni and William H. Macy doing in a Jurassic Park movie? Jurassic Park should never resemble Deep Impact in any way, but boy does it ever! Their performance, which will never come off as action-film worthy, highlights an atrocious attempt at family drama that is the premise of the movie. Add to that the unlikely premise of the film in general, that the scientists simply did not apply the rules to one of their dino-islands, and you have a plot in a terminally vegetative state. To trump all of the above disappointments, the ending of this film will suprise you immensely, and not in a good way, either.
