Gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - Jurassic Park III Reviews

OMFG this movie was so gay it was so much shorter than the last 2..the first one was perfect, the second one was.. a little exccesive but still very good but the third was so gay,so short didnt even look like the second, and overall SUCKS

What happened? - Jurassic Park III Reviews

What happened between the first two movies and this movie. The first two films had good stories, good acting, and and amazing directing, but Jurassic Park /// doesn't have any of that. This movie just used the same story as the first two, so it isn't original. And what's up with the Spinosaurus, having it in the movie is one thing, but having it kill the T-rex really killed the whole movie. Jurassic Park /// is an okay movie, but doesn't live up to the original films.

A disaster - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park 3 is a totally unneeded sequel to the first, a classic, and in the second case, a solid, film. Though it does feature some impressive CG dinsosaurs that were not included in the first two films, like a Spinosaurus, it falls flat in almost all facets. I was a big fan of dinousaurs as a youngster, so I was excited to see the film, even if the preview made it seem a little different from the first two. For example, all of the action takes place in the daytime. However, that and everything else turned out wrong. What are Tea Leoni and William H. Macy doing in a Jurassic Park movie? Jurassic Park should never resemble Deep Impact in any way, but boy does it ever! Their performance, which will never come off as action-film worthy, highlights an atrocious attempt at family drama that is the premise of the movie. Add to that the unlikely premise of the film in general, that the scientists simply did not apply the rules to one of their dino-islands, and you have a plot in a terminally vegetative state. To trump all of the above disappointments, the ending of this film will suprise you immensely, and not in a good way, either.

Third time's a------stupid piece of crap - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The "Jurassic Park" trilogy went awry somewhere after the first. Cause "Lost World" is crappy (with it's lamely climactic gymnastic trick). And this movie is disappointing as well. The story probably could've been better. And I expected more entertainment. Clocking in at 90 minutes, with quite a few action sequences, this movie sure isn't boring - but it sure isn't outstanding, either. And what was with the everyone-survives happily ever after? That was crap. I got nothing out of this movie. It was better than "Planet of the Apes" but it's still just cheap entertainment.

Why did they bother? - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The Lost World was a mistake, not to mention a THIRD movie. They need to give it up and stop making crappy sequels of Jurassic Park. For some reason, the raptors being enhanced caused them to turn purplish and grow feathers from their head. Also, the pteranodon had binocular vision and teeth, both of which are not true of the creature. If I wasn't so knowledgeable of dinosaurs I probably wouldn't have noticed. All in all, a disappointing movie.

Jp3 - Jurassic Park III Reviews

What a movie...now I know it did fairly well and grossed itself to the 65th best movie of all time but I really think they need Speilberg to get this movie up with it's prequels. Anyway it was good

Yuck - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This is the worst movie i have ever seen, its like watching #1 and #2 all over again. It was a waste of my time and money.

Just so damn worthless - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park has always been a movie about dinosaurs. THe bad thing? Always just the same happens. THe characters just got stranded in an island worth of dinosaurs and then stupid disasters happen. You know, it always come to disasters and yes of course the main characters survive. MOreover good dinosaurs always appear in the end. Is there any other stories you could make besides this stupid and truly used up concept?

Could've been better! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

I like Jurassic Park movies and I loved this one two, but I wish it could've lived up to its predecessers. It was a good movie but could've had been payed more work on top of it.

Too short - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This movie is not even close to being as good as the first two. It's too short, the bodycount is too low, and the spinosaurus looks fake. The only good part is when the T-Rex and the spinosaurus fight. And they completely killed the way people view the Tyrannosaurus by having it lose to the stupid looking main dinosaur. I also liked the raptors.

Happy 'camping' - Jurassic Park III Reviews

"No force on Heaven or Earth could ever make me go back to Isla Sorna," Sam Neill declares at the beginning of the third film in the JURASSIC PARK trilogy. That, of course, is the Hollywood code for, 'Within 15 to 20 minutes, I will be on the Island, knee-deep in dinosaur dung, with my sleeves rolled up in the plot of this movie' (looking for a young boy, played by Trevor Morgan, who disappeared on the island). Reluctant heroes are usually crowd-pleasers. The island, a hell for the humans who end up stranded on it (Neill and a band of would-be rescuers led by William H. Macy and T?Leoni), is a haven for legions of dinosaurs who escaped destruction in the first two JURASSIC PARK movies. These include the ever hungry -- and, now, smarter -- velociraptors; the massive spinosaurus, which dwarves, and elbows out, tyrannosaurus, for screen time; and the alluring, airborne pteranodons (which audiences are likely to mistake for the more popular pterodactyls). The unhappy troop of castaways runs through a maze of dinosaur encounters, with lots of jolts, but little danger when all is said and done. The thrills here are darker, as in a scene where the group makes a gruesome discovery about the missing boy's landing on the island. But, as it turns out, this has little to do with dinosaurs. With its mix of chills and special effects eye-fills, JURASSIC PARK is standard fare, totally passable summer entertainment. But, it's not much more than that. From the way the dinosaurs are sent galloping across the screen, without having to establish anything by way of premise or having to convince us of it, to the easy use of familiar themes like "the reluctant hero," one gets the sense that JURASSIC PARK III isn't really trying. The densely vegetated setting adds darkness to many scenes, and a pretext not do the amazing things the first two movies did with shadows and nuances of texture for stunning visual accomplishment. The establishing scenes, in which the Sam Neill character gives speeches about his theory of velociraptor communications are clearly put there solely to explain to us some of the scenes that will come later, and hardly advance any other strand of storyline related to his character -- and, the same can be said for many other things that happen in the movie. This is the 'Old Professor' trick from second rate horror movies, where one of the characters is an expert on a subject, just so he could have a couple of lines that will explain something that would be too much work to actually have to *show* us. A good cast helps a lot, though. Here, character actors William H. Macy and Michael Jeter, who some may remember as the homeless cabaret singer from THE FISHER KING (1991), back up Sam Neill when the forest canopy of a script threatens to collapse around them. (Carlos Colorado)

The series is redeemed! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

After a pathetic sequel in the Lost World, Jurassic Park III redeems the series exactly how it should..........relentless action. While the plot may not be grade A material, it is sufficient enough to enjoy this movie and see the Dinos and Alan Grant back in action. Superb acting carries the movie during its few light moments, and Joe Johnson's great vision carries it the rest of the way. It was not as good as the original, but it is definitely a rip-roaring ride through the depths of Isla Sorna.

Jurassic park iii, there back! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park, the first of the trilogy, not directed by Sir. Speilberge. But Joe Johnston, didn't do that bad of a job. Although, I did find the story to be a little un-believable, and Although I am a big fan of the new guy on the block (Spinosaurus), after watching the first two again, I realize, that the Jurassic Park movies, aren't the same without it's fiersome predator, the T-rex. It's a great movie, you'll wanna see it again and again, I give it a "A-"

"f"s all across the board - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park is my all-time favorite movie. When I was three, it was released. I'd watch it over and over, especially the closing scene with the Tyrannosaurus. The Lost World was also good, so when I saw a trailer for Jurassic Park III, I was thrilled. I went to the theater. JP3 did a horrible job in about every movie-related category that one can think of. The acting sucks, (especially the kid, Grant was the only good one,) the '93 dinosaurs look MUCH BETTER than the '01 dinosaurs. The story is so highly improbable, the dinosaurs display inaccurate behavior, the T-Rex dies, the actors effortlessly find solutions to problems that would take up a good spot in the plot in the previous films, and the ending, mmm... the Army and Navy coming to rescue these five people off of a dinosaur inhabited island due to the call of one woman, who thought of that? And how can Alan talk to raptors? True, the raptors door opening was cool in the first movie, but the socializing, trap-setting and other crap was a bit farfetched. Overall, the movie was F-quality. There are kiddie pools deeper than every element of this sad, franchise-hurting installment.

They just keep getting worse and worse - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The worst Jurrasic Park film yet, i mean its still watchable, and its worth watching, but not more then once. Sam Neils a Okay actor i ges. but all the others are mediocre.

The worst film i have seen! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Please, do not waste your time watching this! This is one of the shortest and most predictable films i have ever seen. If you've seen the original Jurassic park then there i no need to see this, it is simply more of the same. CGI effects may have seemed spectacular 10 years ago but this film offers nothing new and the special effects are a pitiful attempt to mask the fact the this movie is nothing but a cash-in!They do not make up for the fact that this film is missing a storyline. I am very glad i did not pay money to see this at the cinema! You have been warned!

Yawn! oh sorry....were you watching that...movie! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Yawn! Sigh! Yawn! Cough! Cough! Sorry, you weren't trying to watch that were you? This is a quote spun off from my lips seconds after watching this ''Movie'' is that what you call it thses days? It doesn't deserve to be called a movie! What a pathetic excuse for Steven Speilburg, it makes this movie annoy me with a passion! It would give me an excuse to switch channels and watch ''Voyager'' All together now ''What a load of junk'la la la la la, What a big load of junk'' la la la la la'' Im gonna be sick, I can't imagen why this was ever given permission to allow our eyes to watch such a poor amount of junk. We now all need perscription glasses, labeled unsuitable for viewing rubbish movies. Not fit to lie in my dustbin! Cough Cough!

Jurassic park iii is bestest film - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The one movie on video is Jurassic Park III since two films: Jurassic Park and The Lost World, but the third film of the Jurassic Park trilogy is the visual effects on the full motion on the dinosaurs.

A very good movie! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The acting? Very nice. I liked it alot. The direction was even better. The visuals were incredible. But the story is where I had a problem. The other movies had so much more of a story, so much deeper. But this does enough to get an A+, and is in my Top 10 Favorite movies of all time, along with Jurassic Park 1 and 2. :-)

The last jp just killed the trilogy - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The most mediocre story, of a boy that survived 3 months alone in an island filled with carnivorous dinosaurs? a doctor that doesn't have experience talking to dinosaurs but already becomes an expert at the end and saves everyone, and typical... only the stars survive and the secondary characters always die, the way the stars survive are pretty un-imaginative, and this simple story just made the JP extinct. FAr different from the original Jurrasic park, where the story was filled with tension , a new look at computer animation , the angles of photography are great for the movie, suspense , great storyline, great direciton from Steven Spielberg, and a great ending. Instead , in JP3 it's just a horrible story , but what's funny , is that the marines come at the end to save everyone ! lol.

Best jurrassic park ever - Jurassic Park III Reviews

1993 , the first one came out (but as second best.) The second one was the worst .Then the best one came out which is the third one.

Horrible and a down right disgrace. - Jurassic Park III Reviews

I don?t know why they made this film, but this was truly disgraceful. There is nothing going for this blunder other than ripping off the Jurassic Park name. Sam Neil should have read the script before he made a fool of himself here, and the special effects are not up to caliber with the other movies in the series.

The ultimate jurassic park movie - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park 3 is better then the first 2 films. Only this time, it returns to Dr. Alan Grant, now searching for research about velociraptors. While researching, he's asked by a traveling couple who love to travel and want an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, the second island filled with dinosaurs. He disagrees to take them, but money changes his mind and soon he, the traveling couple, his colleague, and 4 crew men head to the island by airplane in hopes of seeing great things. Instead, they end up crashing on the dinosaur infested island after a monstrous spinosaurus causes them to crash. Now they fight to survive the monstrous beasts as they try to eat them. Not only that, the traveling couple are actually on the island for another reason, to search for there missing son who is on the island somewhere. The greatest scenes in this film is the non-stop running, screaming, jumping across large gaps, killing the dinosuars, the terrifying, yet action packed filled airplane crash, as well as the huge boat explosion and the large fog-filled birdcage, filled with dozens of pterodactyls. Jurassic Park 3 is brilliant and exciting to the end the trilogy. But now they're making Jurassic Park 4.

Absolute crap - Jurassic Park III Reviews

In brief, every part of this movie blows. It's a disgrace to the first movie. The effects, story, writing, visuals, characters, scenes, fights, and anything else that makes this excuse for a movie is poor, silly, cartoony, ineffective, uninspired, weak, and dumb. I love the original movie, and this is a disgrace to that film. If you love the first one, spare yourself the pain of seeing this wretched, offensive tripe. The guy who made this and Jumanji should never be allowed to direct another movie. I don't like The Lost World, either, but this is just so cheap and empty that it's sad. The only quality this movie may have is that some of it is so bad it's funny (for example, Grant telling people that if they'd survived, raptors would have become the dominant species instead of humans), but for me the movie is too painful to watch.

Let's hope this dosen't go to 4! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This movie was horrible! First of all, whats with the blood in the movie?! Ugh, this movie sucks even if I watch Barney, I still would be entertained by THAT! PLease,no more Jurassics or I'm gonna teach Hollywood a lesson!

I would laugh, if i wasn't so annoyed - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The third installment in the monumental series of dinosaur movies, is even more ridiculous than I would have thought possible, and thats saying somthing. With a pathetic attempt at rallying support by including the original hero in the script. This god awfull piece of garbage never ceases to amaze me at what directors will drag onto our screens. From start to go the storyline is weak, Dr Grant returning to the island as a tour guide under false pretenses, lured by a couple of frightened parents into trecking around the whole island searchinf for a young boy who has been missing for over a month. Event after event, the mindless hunters, created for no other purpose that to be picked of by large predators. They eventually end up stranded and alone (Sounds familier) on a dinosaur filled island with little more than a yellow cellulah phone in the stomach of a large spineosaurus, as a lifeline to the outside world. The visuals are laughable, the acting pathetic, however these are 2nd only to the momumentally pathetic story and direction. Communications with hungry dinosaurs who think and are so familier with biology that they snap spinal columns of there prey instead of mauling them as you would have expected. Having Survived dinosaur attacks for many weeks the son is eventually recovered and all the main charecters survive, leaving a happy magical ending, with the ability to lead of more and more pathetically stupid sequals. Yet, another ridiculous piece of tripe. Do not waste time with this garbage, rent somthing else.

Jurassic park iii - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Without Steven directing this third installment, it just sucks! The directing was so poor, the story line was weak, the acting and the visuals are still good and well. I thought that this Jurassic would do better than the first two Jurassic's, but it didn't! It's one of those sequels that shouldn't have been made!

What the hell is this! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This is the worst of the worst. This movie has no sensability what so ever. It was a dissapointment to fans and other people alike. Thank the screenwriter and the director for this mess. To the people mentioned above thaks a lot *****s

Disgraces the name of the series - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park was a good movie, but its sequels get worse and worse every time. The first one, which is definitly the best of the series, is also the only one you can officially call "a movie based on a Michael Crichton book". The second one was just a story the makers came up with, and they kept the title "The Lost World" because that was the sequel to Crichton's first novel. The third one, which I am sadly taking the time to review, was not the title of one of Crichton's books. And I seriously doubt that Michael Crichton, or any writer good enough to become professional, would write a book this bad. The first two had goodries, so what new director Joe Johnston did was mix parts of them together in the hopes that the results could compare to what a man like Steven Spielberg can do to a film. Instead, he was left with an unoriginal movie with no sense. In the third, a family asks Dr. Allan Grant to help him rescue their son, who is stuck on Isla Sorna. On the way, dinosaurs attack them. And that's it.It's an unbeievably weak story period, let alone compared to the other two. And all the new features that might have improved the movie if it had not been in the seres just make it worse. The main dinosaur in JP3 is not the one that ultimatly symbolizes Jurassic Park, Tyrannosauraus Rex. Instead, it is Spinosauraus. Though the Spinosauraus is big, mean, and fast, it just does not deliver the same sort of fear that T-Rex does in the first two. Also, the velociraptors have changed their shape to what velociraptors probably looked like in real life, instead of what they did in the first two. This may please scientists, but no one who enjoyed the first two will like it. There is a lot of violence in this movie, but it is scattered in peces over the movie. There is no long scene of terror, like the classic kitchen scene in the first one. They're all quick, short, and non-capturing scenes. Sure, lots of people die just for the sake of having that in a movie, but it never gets to your feelings, because they had such a short part in the movie that you never really got to know them. This movie is much too short and meaningless to make you get into it, so forget about it being a worthy follow-up. No one who was alive when the first movie was made (1993) should like this movie, and very few people who weren't alive will like it anyway. Definetly one of the worst movies of all time: arguably the worse.

One of the best movies!! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Good acting, good story (they had a reason to be on the island), and good visuals. I would recommend you to go see this movie.

I don't know why some of the other reviewers hate it so much, I thought it was an aweomse, suspense-filled, action packed sequal.

Aaaaawwwwssssooooommmmeeee!!!!!! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

this movie is the greatest dinasour movie ever, you wont believe the graphics, and the story, out of all of them, this one has the best story, you will love the 3 one

Iii doesn't cut it - Jurassic Park III Reviews

OK, while The Lost World may not have been as good as the original JP, it was eons better than this popcorn-shoot. Funny it's part three, and has three major flaws: 1. The raptors. While it's nice to make them smarter, their appearance is unacceptable. No raptor from the previous film was bluish-purple. And while we may never know what their skin did look like, the film makers should keep the visuals consistent! And as for the feather-top heads...well, if they were creatures that combined reptillian and bird-like features, those down feathers would have been shed by adolecence. And did I not see a relatively "normal" looking raptor briefly amongst the horde of newbies? Make up your mind. 2. The pteradons. Where the flew free at the end of Lost World, we suddenly find them trapped in an over-sized bird cage--something not seen in either Lost World book or movie. Granted the scenes worked, the concept of the cage on a free-roaming island doesn't quite work. Neither does a fenceless island having a large fence running near the edge of it. 3. The biggest flaw of all: the spinosaurus. Where was this dino in the previous movie? Was was it in the books? This is the same island as the one in The Lost World, right? Granted they may not have covered the whole island in JP2, if this guy is King of the Dinos here, wouldn't evidence of him be in the last one? Exploitation at it's worst. So, while I will give this film points for some intense action, some great looking creatures (raptors not included--just for the poor continuity), the acting here is banal, supported only by Sam Neill and Laura Dern's brief appearance, and the direction is like watching a computer nerd trying to imitate Spielberg. Not for fans.

Jurassic park 3 is better than jurassic park 2... - Jurassic Park III Reviews

...however it still is not as good as the original. The story and plot was not made as well as the first Jurassic movie although the new graphics were much more life-like thanks to newer technology. For the acting, however, I believe the actors preformed just as good as the original and they definately outshined the sad preformance of the actors in the second-sequel (there only seemed to be about 3 good actors in Jurassic Park 2 but not enough to save the film). If you do like this film you should watch the original Jurassic Park (it is the best out of the trilogy).

Wow - Jurassic Park III Reviews

this movie was great. better than the other two.the dinosaurs were better than ever. sam neil looks great in this movie. you should make a fourth one.

Jurasic park3 - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This movie rocks! it has dinos of all scientists and crased planes and it is great! i would give it an A+ just dont let kids under 12 see it or they just might freak out!

More of an adventure film - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This movie lacks the great story and thrills of the first film and tends to be a chase movie where the characters run away from the creatures. The film tends to exhaust itself with scenes where the same repetitive things occuring. The excitement dies out later on when the film seems to go on for infinite time. The movie has a story which is ok but leaves open for another sequel. Recommend renting instead of buying.

It's too much. no more. - Jurassic Park III Reviews

I didn't really enjoy this movie. I thought it was a real half-baked invention of the other two. I do think that this story line was a little bit better than the previous one, but this was totally not needed.

Worse than the second - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Brace yourselves a journey different from the first one. This movie was horrible. The first one was great, the second one was worse and this just didn't interest me at all. This story was bad because it was just about saving a kid and the kid never could have survived. The acting was horrific. Nobody could act in this film. The direction was different and nt good either. The visuals were the only thing that was good in this movie. Overall it was horrible, terrible whatever you want to call it. the story of jurrasic park is unrealistic but ome of this stuff was just stupid.

What the hell were they thinking? - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The movie is so bad that i need to barf after i saw it. It a disgrace to the name jusrassic park, and it does not even mention the other movies in the series. Stay away

Scary area - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Not fit for the jurassic park name - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Now, I'm not going to say I didn't like this movie because it was bad, after all, I've enjoyed plenty of bad movies in my time, but what really seems unappealing to me about this film was that it simply didn't work, all the while milking a great first movie and an okay second. Jurassic Park III was just disappointing to me, as visually it took a completely different direction than the first two. I understand there was a different director, but when working within a series you should try to stick to what's working, not inject your own "good" ideas. From the moment the film began, with flashy a flashy title and obnoxious "Isla Sorna" quickly slashed by "RESTRICTED", I could tell that the actual style and beauty of the Spielberg-directed films beforehand had been abandoned in favor of a flashy, pull-in-the-12-year-old-boys action/monster film. And the film continued in this vein from there on. The acting was mediocre at best, the directing seemed rushed and scrambled, and the visual effects, while well done, were not nearly enough to carry an entire film, as CGI effects could back closer to their introduction 10 years beforehand. Overall, the film was a great disappointment, and I personally wouldn't count it as part of the Jurassic Park series in my home collection.

This movie sucked - Jurassic Park III Reviews

this was the worst movie i've ever seen. i hope no other jurassic park movies come out. i liked the first one and the second was ok but this destroied the series. i'd rather kill my self twice before i see this movie agian

What's wrong with this franchise? - Jurassic Park III Reviews

The first JP was a great yarn about the effects of man versus nature. It had a potent amount of action, humor, FX and (somewhat) believable characters. The inevitable sequel was quite a bit more hollow with the FX shots simply tweaked up a little. Then there was this one. Without really adding anything new to the series, we're left to hope that this franchise stays extinct. Not a bad movie...but certainly not a good one either.

Very very very very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

I think this movie was very good i think this is one of the best ones of jurassic parks because they add new characters and different stuff then the 1st and 2nd Jurassic Park.

This is my 3rd review this year i'm an expert!!!! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

I don't why people thought the first three reviews were helpful. The acting was good. The story was good too. They say the 2nd one was good but to me it was one the worst films I have ever seen. I liked the 1st one the best then the 3rd and I didn't even like the 2nd one. Overall it's a pretty good movie with great graphics.

Best one since the original - Jurassic Park III Reviews

WOW Jurassic Park 3 was the best jurassic park movie since the original!!!!!!! It has everything!!! The story was really great, the visuals were the best yet and you couldn't ask for better actors! I think they are making a Jurassic Park 4 so I can't wait until that!!!!!

Okay, worst of the three - Jurassic Park III Reviews

This movie was alright, it stunk alot because of the beginning, they let their 12 year old son go sailing on an island with dinosaurs which was also probably restricted. And after all that time studying dinosaurs they just now discover another dinosaur that was not half as menacing as the T-Rex. And one more thing I didnt understand was with the communicating *****, that the movie kinda stupid. Otherwise it was alright, I wouldnt want to see it again though.

One of the worst movies ever made. - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Really disappointing follow up really adds nothing to the series other than a poor excuse of a movie that rips off the first two movies other than stand on it?s own two feet. The acting is bad as well as the directing, and there is no story to be told. Watch only if nothing is on.

Best movie ever!!! - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic park 3 is the best movie ever!!! Since I was three I loved dinosaurs and every night my dad would me read dinosaur books. Johnston did'nt do as good as Speilberg could have done but it still made it to my favorite movie.

Makes the american godzilla remake look like a mas - Jurassic Park III Reviews

If you can remember the Godzilla remake by Roland Emmerich & Dean Devlin, then you must have had nightmares on how bad it was. The bad rip offs of much better movies and the extremely corny, sentimental dialogs only written to please slow adults and small children. This movie was so bad in fact that you don?t need Mike and the Bots from MST3K to make fun of it, the movie writes it?s own punch lines for you to say. Any movie with Matthew Broderick as an action hero should be an indication on how bad it is, and with a monster that looks more like a raptor than the Godzilla who all know and love, the recipe for failure is pretty big. Which brings us to this film which is not only one of the worse sequels ever made but probably one of the worse films made period. Sam Neil is a great actor, but the film itself is so bad that it makes him look like a buffoon. The way they tried to make him into an Indiana Jones wannabe is not only sad but also flat out laughable. He comes more a cross more like Chevy Chase than Harrison Ford. The casts of supporting characters fares no better and in some respect fare much worse. William H Macy is probably one of the best actors around but you really can?t tell that by his performance here which is beyond annoying. Tea Leoni is flat out annoying as well as his wife, a woman whose scream could chip years old paint. I think the only actor who fares decent here is the late Michael Jeter, who is barely in the film at all. His performance is funny, and could have benefited the film a lot more if he was in it more. The special effects are not as impressive as they were in the last two films, and the direction is very disjointed compared to what Spielberg was able to do with the first two movies. Spielberg was able to create tension and create action scenes that can blow your socks off. Joe Johnson, who steps in for Mr. Spielberg this time around not only abandons what his predecessor had done before but completely disregards any logic that the other movies had. The first two films where about science and the dangers of tampering with nature. This film is just a strait forward monster movie that does not even have a plot to go by. The characters here are nothing more than Dinosaur food and the setting itself does not even look like the island of the last movie. There are even certain things in this film that even contradicts some of the information that was giving in the last two films, and it tries to bring in a dinosaur that was not even created in those movies. Its really sad to see Joe Johnson demean himself with a bad film like this, because he has done much better work in the past. The Rocketter is a prime example of a good comic book movie, and October Sky is a well-paced family drama that should have had more notice in the theater. With this movie, Joe looks like he just wanted to cash a pay check, and judging by the way every thing in the film was done, it looks like every one involved were doing the same thing. Which is sad in a sense because it?s the fans that pay for it in the long run.

Try to contain the vomit - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Wow, this movie is terrible. Not only does it trash the reputation of an otherwise fantastic actor, William H. Macy, but it perpetuates the crappiness of a film series that should've stopped at number one. STORY: Absurd. They go to the island to find a lost boy. Dinosaurs, of course, attack, because that's what they do. Then, amazingly, the humans figure out how to TALK to the dinosaurs, find their sensitive spots, and the now very colorful raptors don't kill them after all. Thrilling if you enjoy paper-thin plot lines and over-the-top dialogue. ACTING: As I noted before, William H. Macy pretended that the movie wasn't a complete waste of time, and it didn't work. He looks as bored as the audience feels. Sam Neill revises his role as the wisened, bitter Dr. Grant ... and he really seems bitter ... bitter to be in this movie. But wisened with his paycheck. DIRECTION: It's obvious why Spielberg distanced himself from this project, and some hack filled his place. There is no script. None whatsoever. The producers should've asked a thirteen-year-old boy to write a draft because that would undoubtedly be more worthwhile. VISUALS: There's a new dinosaur. And he looks stupid. And the raptors are suddenly more colorful and talk to each other ... they TALK, and that's a major plot point. Wow. I can taste the acidity of my puke just thinking about it. OVERALL: Don't watch it. That's my overall. Just don't even bother. Don't even rent it. Don't even burn it in a huge Catholic bonfire. It's not worth thinking about, or even this review.

Always the original.... - Jurassic Park III Reviews

Jurassic Park was the movie of dinosaurs. It has also been my favorite movie for 10 years. The sequel to it wasn't as good, and neither is its other sequel, JPIII. JPIII is the movie of the series that doesn't base itself on a book. Therefore, it leads to a good story, good acting, and a good direction. That's it. GOOD! Not great. The brilliant part of the movie the damn special effects. They truly kick ass and it's unbelievable. I still suggest that you people out there buy it.
